This year's Spring Fling was held at the Inn at Millrace Pond. The gang got together for a fun evening of paper airplane flying, hangar flying, and catching up on old times. The charming Inn invited us to 'a world that is abundant in both culture and comfort' and it lived up to its claim. Women fliers honored 65 years after World War II service By Kevin Bohn and Ed Hornick, CNN Some 65 years after their service, a group of former civilian women pilots whoseunheralded work was key to helping the U.S. effort in World War II were honored with the Congressional Gold Medal. Fewer than 300 Women Airforce Service Pilots are still alive. About 175 of them, along with thousands of family embers, traveled to Washing for the ceremony at the Capitol. Aviators! Women and Flight [RVCC Atrium, NJ] RVCC to Celebrate Women's History Month
Wednesday, March 17, 6-9 p.m., RVCC Atrium, College Center (lower level), "Aviators! Women and Flight": A panel of women currently involved in aviation in New Jersey - including private and commercial pilots and aiport owners - will share their experiences in aviation. The evening also will include the screening of the film, Amelia, which depicts the story of aviator Amelia Earhart. The event is sponsored by RVCC's Social Justice Club and the 2010 Women's History Month Committee. Click here for the nj.com article:
